Assessment

  • Students are assessed on one major project of their own choice.
  • There is NO examination.

Projects

  • must demonstrate competence in the use of at least two software applications.
  • may be individual or group work.
  • all work to be assessed should be in electronic form.
  • work submitted must show evidence of your achievement on the seven strands shown in the rubric.
  • should be accompanied by a self assessment form and, where appropriate, a group assessment form.
  • the self assessment form MUST be completed and indicate where evidence for levels claimed may be found.

File formats

Regardless of the software you use you need to submit your work using the specific file types to ensure that examiners can read your work:

All work should be put inside a single Acrobat portfolio. If you do not have Acrobat yourself your school should provide it for you.

All other files should be converted into one of the following formats:

  • Documents and images: pdf, xls/xlsx, mdb, sql
  • Video: flv, swf
