What people say....
So far the groups I have had have been very excited about the prospect of being a little more in control of what they do. Motivation is high and I have had many kids coming to speak to me outside of lessons to discuss possible project ideas.

If you can't write the solution to the problem on a piece of paper in layman's terms then you haven't solved the problem

I talked to my teachers about what I was doing. The IEAward requires students to upload their progress.

I like the aspect that we get to do independent learning and we get to use software that we are confident in and therefore produce a successful piece of work.
Compared to other subjects where they give certain deadlines for certain aspects of the course the IEAward is a lot freer in that sense.

The thing is I leave everything to the last minute. Because you don’t have the time structure thing that we have to follow, it becomes we leave everything to the last minute. May have very good planning but don’t stick to our plan or maybe we didn’t know how to do some of the stuff so had to do research and couldn’t stick to our plan. Because it took longer than we thought.
It pressured me a lot. It required a lot of research.

It gives students a lot of freedom in which projects, what kinds of projects they choose to do. I think, though, they could give more deadlines but overall it is a pretty good course.
You can’t just self learn everything.
