IEA (International Education Awards) was set up by three experienced ICT/Computer Studies teachers in Hong Kong. As ICT teachers we have tried a range of ICT courses over the years, each successful for a while but each outlasting its usefulness. We were struck by the fact that some good students could pass the exams and coursework easily because they were good at following instructions, despite the fact they may not be great at ICT. Similarly we became aware of students who failed our courses dismally and yet could demonstrate well developed ICT skills.

We decided to write our own course and were fortunate enough to be spotted by staff from CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) who have given us tremendous support in developing a course that we believe is interesting, challenging and relevant.
